Kerry Litschke
Founder and C.E.O.

Kerry has extensive oil and gas experience and over 27 years of experience in the IT industry. Kerry provides consulting to clients across many industries with their IT investment decisions and planning. He continually helps senior executives understand the business process flow occurring in their business’s and identifies solutions to make them more competitive. Kerry has continually expanded his technical knowledge through relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, BPM, and holds his PMLM from Mount Royal University. Technically, he specializes in Local and Wide Area Network design and is currently obtaining his Master’s in Business Process Management from the University of San Francisco. Kerry steered Aura into the Cloud computing model 12 years ago and has been offering this solution to clients for over a decade now.

In 1999, he pioneered the Business Process Flow model used at Aura. Kerry's focus on delivering business-centered IT solutions has underlined the success of using Business Process Improvement with his clients. Some past clients include Bernard Callebaut, Calgary Flames, CenAlta Well Services, Essential Energy Services, Canadian Energy Services, CanaDream RV Newpark Environmental, Crown Energy, Eastside Dodge, Pheonix Drilling, BJ Electric, Symbiosis Genetics and a variety of Banks located in the USA. As a renowned philanthropist, Kerry shares a deep interest in community service. He continues to sponsor many underprivileged children across the globe and has contributed to many building projects in the developing world. Kerry is married and has two children.


Jim Balkwill
V.P. Risk Mitigation Services

A veteran of the technology industry for more than 20 years, Jim leads our IT Security and Compliance practice. Jim offers consulting to clients relating to legislative compliance, disaster recovery and business continuity. His strong project management skills combined with his security audit experience have helped companies get better bang for their buck and leveraged their IT infrastructure.

Before joining Aura, Jim was Director of Technical Operation for Infogem Canada. He managed all technical operations and specialized in security, network infrastructure, design/implementation and project management. As Operations Manager for Westeel Rosco, a division of Jannock steel, he directly reported to the president.

With over 18,000 project management hours of managing solutions of in excess of 2 million dollars, Jim is a self-proclaimed evangelist of Information Security. He has been asked to speak at many Information technology summits on contemporary topics such as Project Management and Information Security. He is considered one of the foremost instructors in the area of information security in western Canada and has been invited to teach at the Canadian police college. In 1992 Jim was recognized for his contributions to Canada by being awarded the Canada 125 medal.
